Changes
These are the changes in EMG 8.0.6 as compared to EMG 8.0.5.
- The emgperl driver now runs the Perl file after it has been loaded, just as EMG 7 did. This way global variables can again be initialized in their declaration, for example as with “
my $debug=1;
“. - If the Perl file either cannot be loaded or run, emgperl exits immediately. The plugin will then behave as if no functions had been defined. After correcting the plugin, run “emgd -reload” to tell EMG to reload the plugin.
- For MX connectors and other connectors where the address requires a DNS lookup, the “Connected to” entries in the pdu log now contain both the hostname and the IP address actually used.

The downloads are password-protected. To obtain the username and password required, please use our license request form. If you already have an existing installation, you should download just the new binaries. However, if you’re upgrading from EMG 7 or earlier, please also take a look at the full installation guide, as you may also need a new Perl installation.
